Word is in that when Conan O'Brien takes over for Jay Leno sometime in 2009 his replacement on the Late Show, Jimmy Fallon, won't be the only noob on the late night scene. Rumors have it that the Philadelphia based band The Roots will be Fallon's house band. They are said to have there last touring dates in early 2009 and ready to make the jump to television when the NBC changes are made.
I don't know how I feel about this though. I mean The Roots are the sickest live band and tour non-stop and now they are going to pack it in for Jimmy Fallon, really? Like I can see if Tracy Morgan was going to take over I could appreciate The Roots as his band but Jimmy Fallon, I think he is more of a Nickleback kinda dude, and Nickleback SUCKS.

Any way ?uestlove deserves to be on TV if nobody else. And how is Black Thought going to figure in? You dont usually see too many singers in these situations, actually I can't think of any. Maybe he can go record another Fort Minor cd, that would be dope.
P.S. It must suck being a musical act on that show, knowing the house band is 100 times better than you
